YOUTH SERVICES
BBE GEN-Y Youth Hub

BBE GEN-Y Youth Hub is a youth development centre that is jointly undertaken by Ain Society and Bukit Batok East Grassroots Organisation under the patronage and the brainchild of Mdm Halimah Yacob, MP for Jurong GRC. It is also supported by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS). The programmes are targeted at out-of-school youths who are unemployed and youths at high risk between the ages 10-18 years old.

The centre was officially opened by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong during his private visit to the Jurong GRC on 20th May 2007. It was a short yet very memorable experience for all of us.

Thus far the centre has conducted academic and work skills classes for nearly 200 youths. It engages youngsters in a range of activities with teenage appeal, including music lessons and educational outings. BBE GEN-Y Youth Hub aims to motivate these young people to pursue further studies and gain meaningful employment.

The four principles are (1) Efficient and effective administration (2) Staying focus (3) Innovative ways for fundraising to be self-sufficient and self-reliant and (4) Being a good role model.” – Haji Md Yusof Ismail, CEO Ain Society
